New York Diaries: Broadway Night!

Hello Upper East Siders!

You know that a trip to New York City wouldn’t be complete without a night out in Broadway to grab a show. Being a newbie to theatre musicals, I actually didn’t know what to choose. Lucky for us, our cousin Thessa has her fair share of Broadway shows, which helped make ours a memorable one! We all decided to watch, “Hedwig and the Angry Inch” at the Belasco Theatre and we enjoyed every bit of it thanks to Darren Criss and his excellent portrayal of Hedwig Robinson. After the show, he was signing autographs and was talking to the fans. We got to talk about his Filipino roots and how much he would like to visit the Philippines again.

The night was still young and of course, so are we. I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to see more of New York. Therefore, we decided to drop by The Campbell Apartment for a night-cap. I was particularly excited for this one because of its Gossip Girl reference and true enough, I was not disappointed. The place looked like just as it was in the series. The ambiance is very classy and yet, very cozy. People were still in their business suits, trying to relax after a hard day’s work. After ordering our drinks, we sat down and talked about our exciting day. As we were talking, I was trying to imagine Serena and Nate’s scene at the bar counter while Chuck is lurking at the balcony. I was curious if something like that could really happen, but then again, everything’s possible in New York, right?

I can’t wait to go back and experience it all over again! But for now, here our some of our photos! I hope you enjoy them!

Until my next New York Diary!

Ahhhh! I remember my first Broadway show – fell asleep for a few minutes because of jetlag. Hahaha Nonetheless, I enjoyed the show. Will watch that Boo on my next visit soon! Love the edit btw. <3
