Red-dy for the New Year

Red is such a powerful color and is often associated with energy, excitement and passion. In Chinese, red symbolizes luck, happiness and good fortune.

I’ve read about the Water Monkey being lucky in love and business this year, maybe that’s a good sign? But, I also  believe that all the luck in the world would be useless without action and ton of prayers. So, we’ll see! We’ll never what’s gonna happen. I wonder what else is in store for the Monkey in the Year of the Dog?

For the Chinese New Year, I chose to wear this red dress from H&M Chinese New Year Collection just to make sure I’ve covered all my bases in welcoming all the good luck and repelling bad vibes away! I’m actually wearing two kinds of earrings, a stud and this simple tassled one which came in a set and is also from H&M. For the shoes, I’ve had these Forever 21 faux suede booties for quite sometime now but didn’t have the outfit to wear it with, until now. Yay!

Superstitious or not, comment down below your Chinese Zodiac Sign and how do you this you’ll be fairing in the Year of the Dog!

I have to admit that when I first came to the Philippines, I did not really like Pinoy food. 5 years later, I am now addicted to adobo, kare-kare and sinigang! Haha
